Fourth of July Fun in the Front Range 2019
Independence Day is just around the corner and if you haven't quite figured out your plans, we've compiled a mega list of fun for the whole family throughout the Front Range! Whether you are looking to celebrate traditionally with a parade and fireworks or just looking for local events to celebrate and entertain guest in town you can find your celebration plans here!
ARVADA
City of Arvada Fireworks | Stenger Sports Complex, Arvada CO
July 4th, 2019 | 9:00 PM *Gates open at 7:00 PM
This year Arvada will only be hosting fireworks and will not have live entertainment and food trucks as in the past. Guest are asked to enter the complex at West 58th Avenue and Oak Street. Free parking, first-come first-serve!
Aurora
City of Aurora 4th of July Spectacular | Aurora Municipal Centers Great Lawn, Aurora CO
July 4th, 2019 | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Starting at 6 PM the city of Aurora will host their annual celebration featuring music, food, adult beverages and fireworks to follow. Attendees are encouraged to use the RTD R-Line that is walking distance to and from the event.
Boulder

Start your 4th of July celebration at Boulder Reservoir, a 700-acre multi-use recreation park with plenty of sandy shoreline and ways to have fun. Bring out the family and have a picnic and have fun in the water. Rocky Mountain Paddleboard will be open for small watercraft rentals as well.
Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast | Folsom Field, Boulder CO
July 4th, 2019 | 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Boulder’s Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast roots back to 1941 and is a tradition for many of the locals! Gates open at 8:00 PM and fireworks are expected to kick off around 9:30 PM.
Parking is limited so attendees are encouraged to plan ahead. There will also be a free HOB shuttle and another additional route at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall on Canyon Blvd between 29th and 30th Streets. See more details here.
Four on the Fourth 4K | Nautilus Ct, Boulder CO
July 4th, 2019 | Packet Pickup 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM, 9:00 AM Start
Start your morning off with Avery Brewing Company's 12th annual 4K run. Registration is $40 and includes a tech shirt and post-run part with beers and food. There is no same day registration so if you would like to participate, get in early. All proceeds from the race benefit Harvest of Hope Food Pantry and the Rich Castro CU Track and Field Endowment Fund.
Brighton
City of Brighton 4th of July Community Celebration | Carmichael Park, Brighton CO

The City of Brighton will host a 4th of July celebration with free activities for kids, a variety of food vendors and live music. DJ Titalwave will start the music at 5:00 PM and well-known band Funkiphino will begin playing at 7:00 PM with fireworks to follow.
Broomfield

Start your holiday with a friendly softball game between Broomfield Senior Softball Team and City Council members!
July 4th Great American Picnic | Broomfield County Commons Park, 5:00 PM
Bring your picnic basket and lawn chairs to enjoy live music and activities at Broomfield County Commons Park. There will be a parking shuttle running from Legacy High School to the event from 5-11 PM for convenience. If you would prefer to bike, you can participate in the 12th annual Bike Parade where members are encouraged to dress up yourself and your wheels to show your patriotism. The bike parade is for all ages and starts at 5:30 PM near Championship Field. Live music begins at 6 PM with free summer treats given away at 6:15 by City Council. *Fireworks start at 9:30 PM.
Castle Rock
City of Castle Rock Fireworks | Santa Fe Quarry Butte, Castle Rock CO

The city of Castle Rock will be featuring a firework display just above the Red Hawk Golf Course at the top of the Santa Fe Quarry Butte. At that elevation, fireworks can be seen from just about every spot in the city!
Commerce City
Colorado Rapids and Commerce City 24th Annual 4thFest | DICK’S Sporting Goods Park, Commerce City CO

In tradition, the Colorado Rapids will host their annual holiday game and display their iconic firework display that has been dubbed the largest public display in all of Colorado! For those that don't attend the game, there will be free festivities outside the stadium where fireworks can clearly be seen and a free post-fireworks concert by country artist Lucas Hoge.
Denver
10th Annual Independence Eve Celebration | Civic Center Park, Denver CO

Start your celebration a day early at Denver’s annual Independence Eve Celebration! The event kicks off at 5:00 PM with beer/wine gardens and a variety of local food trucks! The main concert will feature Chris Daniels and The Kings along with the Colorado Symphony with fireworks to follow.

In tradition, the Colorado Rockies will end their July 3rd game with a fireworks display over Coors Field that can be seen from downtown.

The Golden Lions Club will be sponsoring Golden's community celebration again this year allowing for free rides for kids, face painting live music and food. Live music will start at noon and run until 9:15 PM and fireworks will start following (weather permitting). The Club will also be holding their 4th of July raffle that goes towards the funding of next year’s celebration to keep activities free to the public. Tickets are $5 or $20 for 5 tickets.
